Biography

Organisations that fund and run sustainable investments want to be accountable to those they affect, including nature and those who cannot speak for themselves. I study what their reporting shows and what it leaves out, and how stronger dialogue can advance a just transition. I am a Doctoral Researcher at JSBE with over 10 years of experience in consultancy and advocacy.

accountability · impact investment · just transition

I teach Social and Environmental Accounting at JSBE. In the course, students examine different industries, a practitioner panel joins the sessions, and students learn to ask whose perspective is missing, what a report leaves out, and why.

My consultancy and advocacy work includes communications for the Finnish Climate Change Panel at Hill + Knowlton Finland, sustainability roadmaps and workshops at Gaia Consulting, and serving as chief negotiator for the finance-sector collective agreement at Suomen Ekonomit. I co-edit JSBE Spotlight, an open-access annual publication of the best student work.

I welcome research collaboration, workshop facilitation, and talks with organisations that want to understand whose voices their sustainability work reaches, and I am always keen to learn with partners.
