I work as an Academy Research Fellow at the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences and the Gerontology Research Center. My research examines health, functioning, and resilience in ageing, with a particular focus on interactions between individuals and their environments. My current work focuses on developing the concepts of lifestyle repertoire and lifestyle degradation to better understand how changes in modern environments shape patterns of health-related behaviour across the life course. Drawing on the epidemiology of ageing, I combine performance-based and psychometric assessments with methods from complex systems science to advance new approaches to studying health, functioning, and wellbeing across the adult lifespan.
