Liisa Mäkinen

I am a doctoral researcher at Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics in the Doctoral Programme in Corporate Environmental Management. My research examines young people’s future orientations and their role in sustainability transitions, with a particular focus on pro-environmental behaviour and sustainability agency. My background combines sustainability education and international cooperation, and I have worked with the United Nations, the European Parliament, and non-governmental organisations. Through my research, I seek to strengthen young people’s opportunities to participate in and shape sustainable futures.
