Biography

From 2018 to 2025, I worked as a researcher at the Centre of Excellence in Research on Ageing and Care (CoE AgeCare, 2018–2025) in Research Group 1, “Ageing and Comparative Care Policy,” led by the Director of CoE AgeCare, Professor Teppo Kröger, and as a project researcher at the University of Jyväskylä, Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy. Additionally, I am a member of the Research Group on Care Policy (CARPO).

In October 2017, I completed my Master’s degree in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien). During my studies at WU, I received a NEURUS program grant, which allowed me to research the senior home care industry in the United States as a visiting scholar at Arizona State University in 2017. My Master’s thesis examined the drivers of business expansion through franchising among U.S.-based senior home care companies, https://permalink.obvsg.at/wuw/AC15031076

At the end of 2017 and in the first half of 2018, I researched ageing and women’s empowerment issues in India. I participated in several conferences at Indian universities and colleges and visited old age homes and integrated housing facilities in different regions of India. These visits, along with my communication with various NGOs and local communities, deepened my understanding of ageing-related issues and generated ideas for initiatives that could benefit disadvantaged children and single older adults.

I also have more than 9 years of experience in corporate finance as a business appraiser in Moscow, Russia, and I hold my first Master’s degree in Finance. My corporate background has enabled me to apply skills in project management, financial and statistical modeling, intercultural competence, and an understanding of regional cultural contexts to my research.
