I work at the University of Jyväskylä in the research project Future of Care Work (CAREFUTURE) within Work Package 5: Research in top-down innovations. We study innovations that have the potential to alleviate the care crisis and transform the future of care work. I have a M.H.Sc degree with a major in gerontology and public health, and a bachelor’s degree in health care (physiotherapy).
My research focuses on the technologisation of healthcare and social services and on how this development is reflected in people’s everyday lives. Alongside my work as a project researcher, I am a doctoral researcher at the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy (Social and Public Policy). In my doctoral research, I examine how the digital transormation of the service system shapes older adults' position and equality as users of public healthcare and social services. My research is situated at the intersection of social policy and gerontology, and I approach the topic from the perspective of digital governance.
