I am working as a postdoctoral researcher (part-time) in the Faculty of Information technology at the University of Jyväskylä and in the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health. My previous main job was working as educational specialist at Sairaala Nova where I had been working since graduating with a master's degree in 2007. Thus, during the last twenty years, I have been developing healthcare professional skills and simulation training. Most recently, I have been creating a research entity “Guidance enhancing professional agency” which is related to digital agency and digital competency, professional agency and guidance skills, all of which are connected by the accelerating digitalization of working life. At the moment, I have the pleasure and honor of being involved in several research projects related to the use of artificial intelligence. Research perspectives that interest me include changes in professional skills, agency, leadership, and productivity at work in the age of AI.
I am working as a postdoctoral researcher (part-time) in the Faculty of Education and Psychology at the University of Jyväskylä. In my dissertation, I investigated and developed guidance practices in surgical training. My research interests are related to professional learning at work and guidance of learning at work. I am particularly interested in medical education and its pedagogical development. I am also interested in learning and guidance in simulated and virtual learning environments, ecpecially in healthcare context. In the last two years I have been involved in the SimO project, which aims to create a high-quality eco-system for virtual and real world situations for a wide variety of different industries in Finland and around the world. My most recent research interests have focused on the digital competence and professional agency of social and health care personnel. My main job is working at Sairaala Nova as an education specialist. I have been working there since graduating with a master's degree in 2007.
