Biography
Welcome!
I am Muhammad Ardiyansyah, currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Predictive Community Ecology Group at the Department of Biological and Environmental Science, University of Jyväskylä, under the supervision of Prof. Otso Ovaskainen.
I completed my doctoral studies in August 2023 at the Department of Mathematics and Systems Analysis, Aalto University (Espoo, Finland), where I worked in the Applied Algebraic Geometry research group led by Prof. Kaie Kubjas. My primary research interest lies in the application of algebraic methods across a variety of scientific fields.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia, 2016) and a Master’s degree from the University of Bonn (Germany, 2018).
Research interests
My research contributes to understanding biodiversity and evolution by combining mathematical models, bioinformatics, and data-driven methods to uncover patterns in ecological and genetic systems. Currently, I focus on phylogenetics and DNA sequence denoising, developing computational methods to reconstruct accurate evolutionary relationships from noisy genetic data.
