Olli Ohtonen

I work as a Professor of Practice in Snow Sports at the University of Jyväskylä’s Sports Technology Unit in Vuokatti. My role is to promote high-performance snow sports by connecting scientific research with practical coaching and strengthening collaboration between athletes, coaches, sports federations, and researchers.

A key part of my work is to bring the needs and questions arising from high-performance sport into research and development, and to translate the resulting knowledge and solutions into everyday coaching practice. In this way, I contribute to implementing JYU-Vuokatti’s From Science to Practice principle.
