My postdoctoral research project, situated at the intersection of literary studies and psychoanalysis, explores the relationship between fiction and psychoanalytic truth, with a particular focus on conceptions of truth in ontological psychoanalysis and on the poetics of the psychoanalytic case narrative.
The project also aims to advance the theoretical and methodological foundations of bibliotherapy and other forms of reading-based therapeutic practice. My research investigates how literature can facilitate the integration of repressed, alien, or previously unrepresented experiences. At the same time, it develops an understanding of literature as a distinctive form of knowledge capable of generating insight into psychic reality and fostering the capacity to think and feel emotional experience.
My literary research interests include Shakespeare, Henry James, Virginia Woolf, Samuel Beckett, Kristina Carlson, and Jaakko Yli-Juonikas. Among psychoanalytic thinkers, I am particularly interested in the work of Wilfred Bion and Thomas Ogden.
