I am passionate about developing people and businesses.
My professional profile is three-fold. I work as a Director of Executive MBA education at the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics. We also provide business development projects and management education tailored for companies. Second, I seek to understand managerial work through my academic research and I have also worked as a visiting scholar in Stanford University. Third, I am active in various forms of external engagement outside academia. I am a member of the board of directors in various companies, currently including Admicom Plc and Netum Group Plc.
My research focuses on how experienced leaders learn and develop professionally. I am interested in how executives learn through their work, new experiences and interactions with others, and how this learning shapes their thinking, leadership practice and professional identity.
My earlier research examined managers' financial and strategic thinking and the use of accounting information in business development.
