Biography
Researcher with pedagogical qualifications in adult education, work councellor (solution and strength-based approach), and lisenced social worker.
I currently work as a researcher in two research projects: Media and Robot Literacies of People Over 65 Years of Age (MediaRoboLit 65+, 2023–2027) and Grey Zones and Boundaries: Service Pathways and Division of Labour in Gerontological Social Work (Katve, 2026–2027). The projects Case Management with Older Adults in Wellbeing Counties – Developing Client-Safe and Effective Case Management in Changing Places and Spaces (IPO, 2024–2025) and the Centre of Excellence in Research on Ageing and Care (CoE AgeCare, 2018–2025) both concluded at the end of 2025.
My research themes include the relationship between individuals and place, older adults’ housing pathways, communal living, participation, and vulnerability. In addition to ageing, I have studied care and the particularly the dark side of care from different perspectives. My most recent work focuses on care as a professional practice, social work methods such as case management and outreach work, and the effects of digitalisation and technologisation in care work and social services.
