Biography

I work as an Associate Professor (Digital Learning and Interaction) at the Department of Teacher Education, Faculty of Education and Psychology, University of Jyväskylä. I am part of the JYULED - JYUnit for Learning and Digital Education research group, which focuses on research and development of digital learning and teaching.

Research interests

My main research topics are:
- Technology-mediated collaborative learning, in particular a process-oriented approach to the cognitive, emotional and motivational challenges of group interaction and learning regulation strategies.
- New technologies for learning and interaction, including the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence and XR technologies for interactive learning and teaching.
- Digital competences of student teachers and teachers.
