Research interests

We research the atomic properties of matter and the motion of electrons exposed to time-dependent fields such as laser fields. The research aims to understand fundamental processes and to gain important insights for the possible future control of matter at small length and short time scales.

Quantum many-body theory

The research group focusses on the development of theory for the study of nonequilibrium quantum many-body systems such as electronic systems exposed to strong laser fields. A recent aim is to make use quantum computers.
