Biography
In my dissertation, I philosophize about contemporary cynicism and misanthropy.
Research interests
My particular areas of interest include the relationship of cynicism to loneliness, propaganda, and the climate crisis. Cynicism—and to a lesser extent, misanthropy—are enduring phenomena that have been topics of discussion throughout the centuries. The cynic’s suspicion of people’s hidden motives and the misanthrope’s bleak assessment of humanity are unlikely to disappear anytime soon.
