Biography
I am a doctoral researcher in the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy and the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Social Services (January 1, 2025–December 31, 2027, Ministry of Education and Culture). My research focuses on the digitalization of case management in social and healthcare services for older adults. I am particularly interested in examining, how digital technologies and software are integrated into case management processes and how this integration shapes case managers’ working methods, interprofessional collaboration, and well-being at work. In addition I am interested in the evolving relationship between case managers and their clients, as well as service users’ perceptions of accessibility and usability in digitally mediated services.
My dissertation is based on interview data collected as part of the research projects, Case Management with Older Adults in Wellbeing Counties – Developing customer-safe and effective case management in changing places and spaces (January 1, 2024–December 31, 2025) and Katve (January 1, 2026–December 31, 2027). My Ph.D. supervisors are Professors Sakari Taipale and Heli Valokivi.
