Biography

I am a Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Music, Art and Cultural Studies. My work is situated at the intersection of music cognition, developmental neuroscience, and psychology. I am interested in how music evokes internal experiences such as visual and emotional imagery, and how these processes relate to cognitive development in children. My research integrates experimental behavioural methods with EEG to examine the neural dynamics of music-induced imagery. More broadly, I am motivated by questions about how aesthetic experiences can be harnessed to support creativity, attention, and learning in early development.
