Biography
I am a doctoral researcher in the field of sport pedagogy at the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences, University of Jyväskylä. My work involves progressing with my doctoral dissertation and related studies, as well as participating in teaching.
I am particularly interested in exploring the holistic wellbeing of children and adolescents, with a focus on both physical and mental health. This interest is reflected in my dissertation, in which I investigate the relationship between motor competence and mental health among youth. My aim is to contribute to a deeper understanding of how physical competence and movement skills are connected to psychological wellbeing during the formative years.
In addition, I am involved in the SchoolWell research project, which you can read more about on the University of Helsinki's website: Kokonaisvaltaisen hyvinvoinnin koulu | Helsingin yliopisto
