I am a Visiting Researcher at eth Centre of Applied Language Studies at University of Jyväskylä. My area of expertise if Group Dynamic Assessment as part of teaching and learning processes. Specifically I focus on developing listening skills and second language teacher education from Vygotskian sociocultural theory perspective.
I am a co-output manager of the Multilingualism TEAMPACT.
My research focuses on how adults learn and develop through social interaction, grounded in Vygotsky's Sociocultural Theory. I investigate Group Dynamic Assessment (G-DA) — how mediated dialogue within the Zone of Proximal Development promotes language development. My doctoral research is the first in the world on G-DA of listening in adult second language acquisition. I am currently extending this work into AI versus human mediation in adult learning and perezhivanie (emotional-cognitive experiencing) in teacher development. My work is relevant to digital learning environments, adult education, and teacher professionalisation.
