Veli-Matti Tornikoski
Biography
I work on research and development projects involving artificial intelligence, sensor technology and the use of data at the University of Jyväskylä’s Kokkola University Consortium Chydenius. I help businesses and public-sector organisations identify opportunities offered by new technologies and apply them in practice. My work combines technical development, collaboration with businesses and project coordination. I also teach courses on the Internet of Things (IoT).
Research interests
My research and development work focuses on applying artificial intelligence, language models, the Internet of Things (IoT) and data analytics. Key topics include the use of data, data platforms, open data and interoperability between systems. I develop and pilot solutions with partners and assess their benefits and the requirements for their adoption.
