Biography

Xinyu Tan is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Jyväskylä. He earned his B.Sc. degree in telecommunication engineering from the Vaasa University of Applied Sciences and his M.Sc. degree in mobile systems from the University of Jyväskylä. His current research interests lie in resource-constrained embedded operating systems, the Internet of Things, and programming methodologies.

Research interests

My research contributes to resource-constrained WSN/IoT development by a novel design, modeling, and programming approach. It uses statecharts to graphically design application behavior, which is then executed by a lightweight interpreter and supported by a novel, memory-efficient operating system.
