Project description

From love songs and serenades, to sharing playlists and dance trends, music is often an important part of our romantic lives. Many people may have met a partner on the dance floor, or perhaps had a crush on the singer in their favourite band. However, there is very little scientific research on exactly how music and dance are used when looking for a partner, or trying to maintain a relationship. This project aims to explore how music is used in romantic relationships. In doing so, we hope to learn something about the relationship between human musicality and our capacity for love.
