TORQS: Towards Reliable Quantum Software Development: Approaches and Use Cases

It has been widely recognized that quantum computing has a major potential for disruptive effects on many fields. To apply quantum computing in industry scale, the key challenge is to understand when and to which aspects of quantum computing to invest.

In this project, our approach to the major research questions is both practical and from bottom to up. Our starting point is use-cases identified together with collaborating companies. The use-cases as the major driving force, we will study hybrid quantum-classical algorithms, quantum software development, quantum hardware development and create practical quantum programming demonstrations, benchmarking demos, education material.
