Research group description

We utilize the concepts, theories and methods of cognitive science to facilitate the design of intelligent human-technology interaction. Our special interest is on the analysis and modelling of thinking, intelligence, mind and experience in human-technology interaction.

In particular, we:

1) Conduct basic research on cognitive and affective processes, with a particular focus on how people interact with technology;

2) Perform foundational analysis of the operationalizations used in empirical studies to understand users, to improve their validity; and

3) Develop computational cognitive models and design methods that integrate the insights of our basic research and foundational analysis, and provide predictions of cognitive and affective processes and human behavior in interaction with technology.
