Open educational resources in Finland and elsewhere

The Library of Open Educational Resources (aoe) is used nationally to bring the educational resources and their authors together. You can log in aoe.fi with the Haka user name, and after this you can add either your own educational resource with description information, or link your open educational resource from elsewhere with description information.

The aoe also features open educational resource made by other teachers, which can be utilized under a license defined for each material.

It is easy to find educational resources in JYU's JYKDOK database and the national Finna database, as the materials opened in AOE are linked into these databases. All three, JYKDOK, Finna and aoe, use YSO subject headings, so the educational resources described in YSO words can be found conveniently. 

Educational resources for higher education opened in aoe can also be seen in OERSI, the goal of which is to collect European higher education materials on the same portal, i.e. to make them easy to find. OERSI is still in the pilot phase, but Finnish open learning materials are already very much included there through aoe.

On JYU Online Courses learning platform you will find university level courses available for all. High-quality, research-based learning is here open for everyone.

You can also omit the open login option from the Moodle course settings, in which case "Access as a guest" allows participants to enter the course without JYU credentials.

You can openly share videos via Moniviestin by omitting the path key from the recordings. When sharing a recording, you can also share files, e.g. slides.

OASIS search engine seeks open educational resources from over 100 sources, e.g. course books. 

Class Central is a search engine and reviews site for free online courses popularly known as MOOCs or Massive Open Online Courses.
