Children's University JYUniorit
The Children’s University JYUniorit offers science clubs, science camps, visits to the university, school visits, and science events for children and young people aged 3-18. You are welcome to join us in exploring and learning new things under the guidance of the staff and students of the University of Jyväskylä.
The aim of our activities is to increase understanding of science and knowledge construction, as well as to enhance scientific literacy and responsible citizenship. Through science education, a child or a teenager can learn critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities. Science education can also spark an interest in university studies and promote a positive attitude towards science in society.
The activities of JYUniorit are carried out by the Jyväskylä University Museum, Summer University of Jyväskylä, and the Central Finland LUMA Centre in collaboration with university faculties and departments.
