If the completion time of your studies is expiring and you need additional time for completing your degree, you may apply for an extension to the duration of studies or notify Student Services of a statutory reason for your absence.

The duration of bachelor's and master's degree studies is limited. Registration for non-attendance is not included in the duration of studies.

The certificate of student status is a document of your study rights. You can download an electronically signed certificate from Sisu.

The academic year begins on 1 August and ends on 31 July. Teaching is offered during periods determined by the university.

If you did not register for attendance or non-attendance within the registration period, you will lose your right to study. Regaining the right to study requires re-registration.

Doctoral students must register for attendance or non-attendance for each academic year.
