The JYU Alumni Community is registration-based. The community is open to all who have completed a degree at JYU, as well as former exchange students.

Free alumni study right for recent graduates

Further studies are a great way to develop your expertise and stay in touch with the academic community. Alumni studies are free when you are a recent graduate. Free studies at your faculty as well as JYUOpen are available for up to three years from your graduation date.

Business collaboration and partnerships

Benefit from the high-quality research services and infrastructure that the University of Jyväskylä makes available. Collaboration in RDI can offer great opportunities for building value to organisations. As an employer, collaboration through student internships, theses, and dissertations can also serve your organisation's needs.

If you are no longer eligible for the free alumni study right, you are still welcome to make use of the continuous learning options that JYU offers to develop your competences flexibly. The University of Jyväskylä provides many avenues for development throughout your career. Become a Local Friend

The University of Jyväskylä's Local Friendship Programme is a great opportunity to have a global intercultural experience locally, bringing together local friends and international students. Alumni are great candidates to volunteer as a Local Friend to a new international student, so long as you still reside in or near Jyväskylä. Each pair of local friends and students plans and participates in activities according to their own interests and time-frame.
