Carbohydrates support performance in young female cross-country skiers – better-performing athletes eat more
A doctoral thesis at the University of Jyväskylä’s Faculty of Health and Sport Science shows that adequate energy and carbohydrate intake is a significant challenge to young female skiers. Inadequate dietary intake may influence performance negatively.
