
Co-operation and Partners
JYU-Vuokatti has a wide network of local, national and international partners. In particular, Vuokatti Sport, Vuokatti-Ruka Olympic Training Centre, Vuokatti-Ruka Sports Academy and KIHU - The Institute of High Performance Sport, the Finnish Olympic Committee and the Finnish Ski and Cross-Country Ski Association are among the most important partners. One of the newest partners is HULA - Helsingin Urheilulääkäriasema.
Internationally, JYU-Vuokatti is active in the International College of Science and Skiing and cooperates in research with several universities, the most important of which are currently the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, Mid Sweden University and Balgrist University Hospital, Switzwerland.
The main public operators are the municipality of Sotkamo, Kainuun Liitto, Kainuun Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment and the Ministry of Education and Culture.
EPSI
Leading sports innovation for greater societal and economic impact. EPSI – European Platform for Sport Innovation – is a non for profit membership-based organisation in Europe, based in Brussels that focuses on innovation in the areas of sport, physical activity, healthy lifestyle, vitality, environment and all related impacted sectors. EPSI strives for more innovation-friendly conditions for the EU sports ecosystem, in order to stimulate cross-sector innovation and to set up / develop businesses with a focus on the entire innovation spectrum.
ClusSport
The Cluster Sports & Technology has its origins in the top technology center of the Netherlands: the Brainport region. The Cluster is a network of business, sports field labs, governments and knowledge institutions. The Cluster Sports & Technology was founded in 2005 by the Dutch Research Organization TNO and various other regional partners to utilize and combine the excellence of the Brainport region in the field of sport, knowledge (digital, design, technology, health, etc.) and business. Cluster members are moving together for a vital, sporting society.
The objective of the ClusSport Consortium formed by 12 regions (Lapland (FI), Kainuu (FI), Valencia (ES), Catalonia (ES), Flanders (BE), Soth Netherlands (NL), AuvergneRhône-Alpes (FR), Upper Austria (Au) and Dalarna (SE), Trento (IT), Debrechen (HU), Emiglia Romagna (IT) is to help strengthen the sport industries at the EU level.
