Come and explore four activities at the university's Lähde building: listen to Tove Jansson's literature in Japanese and Swedish, learn about knitting, learn Japanese and Finnish at the language café, and participate in Japanese exercise sessions. By collecting stamps from all the stations, you can enter a draw to win a Japanese-themed prize.
2nd floor: Väite (B 248)
In Väite we knit in a hybrid implementation with knitters from Tokyo from 12pm to 2pm and from 2pm to 3:30pm. Bring your own knitting!
In addition to knitting, there will be a literary theme from 13-14 and 15-15:30: come and listen to Moominpappa at Sea in the original Swedish language and also Japanese.
The reading will be held alongside the knitting and you can join in at any time!
2nd floor: lobby
In the lobby on the second floor of the Lähde building, exercise moments are held throughout the day; come and try the Japanese exercise "radio taiso"! The sessions start on the hour and every half hour from 12pm to 15:30pm.
1st floor: Kuvasto (B 154)
The Language Cafe will take place in Kuvasto from 12pm to 4:30pm, where you can practice speaking Japanese at your own level with a teacher and an assistant teacher or freely among the visitors.
