How can real-world needs, research-based knowledge and new technologies come together to generate new solutions and business opportunities while fostering international collaboration?
In the three-part CoDesignSPORT webinar series, taking place in autumn 2026, experts with international experience will explore this question through concrete examples and insights from sport, health and wellbeing. Each webinar will last one hour and feature two expert presentations, followed by time for questions and discussion.
The third and final webinar in the series focuses on performance and safety in sport. The speakers are Caroline Witton, Reader in Neuroscience at Aston University, and Chris Neville, Senior Lecturer in Football Science at Solent University and a performance specialist.
Witton’s research aims to refine and apply physiological measurement methods to address real-world clinical questions. More recently, her work has also expanded into brain health in sport, including research on the effects of head impacts and heading in football. Neville has extensive experience in elite sport, having worked as a member of staff at several Premier League clubs and with the England men’s senior national team, as well as a performance specialist in the Great Britain Speedway Team.
