How do we sustain inspiration, curiosity and pedagogical growth in changing university environments?
Join us for an informal seminar discussion with Tim Herrick from the School of Education at the University of Sheffield. Tim has taught in higher education for more than 20 years, working with learners from adult returners to undergraduate, Master’s and doctoral students, as well as supporting the professional development of university colleagues. His areas of expertise include higher education pedagogy, student–staff collaboration, learning spaces, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. In 2025, Tim was awarded both the Principal Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy and a prestigious National Teaching Fellowship in recognition of his contributions to university teaching and pedagogical development.
The discussion will explore themes such as:
- inspiring and meaningful pedagogical practices
- future directions of university teaching
