Graduation is the reward after a long period of studying hard. Our faculty wants to remember our master's degree graduates with a celebration held in their honor, the Graduation Ceremony. So, it is time to brush the dust off your formal wear and polish your dancing shoes! The next Graduation Ceremony of the Faculty of Mathematics and Science will be held on 22 October 2026 at 18.00 in Restaurant Priimus, Jyväskylä.
Those who have graduated in the academic year 2025-2026, their thesis supervisors, and the department staff will be invited to the ceremony.
Programme
The Graduation Ceremony includes a buffet dinner at Restaurant Priimus, speeches, music and other programme. The event lasts for approximately 3 hours.
Registration and more information
- Registration will open on 1.9.2026. You can register for the Graduation Ceremony by October 13th 23:59.
- There is a limited number of seats available so you might not want to postpone your registration until the last minute.
- You may attend to the Graduation ceremony with one avec. The participation fee for avec is 35 euros.

I didn’t get an invitation. Can I participate in the Graduation Ceremony?
Anyone who has completed a master’s degree at the Faculty of Mathematics and Science of the University of Jyväskylä in July 2025 or after that and by July 2026, can participate in the ceremony in October 2026. Invitations to the Graduation Ceremony 2026 are sent in August 2026 to all who have completed their degree after the invitations were sent to the previous ceremony, that was held in August 2025.
