Start to Finnish, an online course on Finnish working life, was developed in collaboration with Akava (the Confederation of Unions for Professional and Managerial Staff in Finland), the University of Jyväskylä Career Services, the University of Helsinki, the University of Oulu, HAMK, and Xamk Universities of Applied Science. The course is open to most Finnish university and university of applied science students

Course Duration & Structure
The course consists of five learning modules. The course materials are available on an online platform, allowing you to delve into different stages of career development at your own pace. There are no joint lectures during the course; however, you can connect with peers from other universities or universities of applied sciences in Finland. Your turn -tasks will provide the opportunity to connect with students from every corner of Finland. All discussions are moderated, and your privacy has been taken into account.

You will have access to the materials for the duration of your studies or as long as your study institution is in cooperation with Akava.
Requirements for Participation
You can participate in the course at any stage of your studies. You only need an internet connection, mobile device or computer access, and an interest in learning more about Finnish working life.
