Supporting Researcher Skills
The 2026 Doctoral Education Day will focus on researcher skills and on how their development and deepening can be supported at different stages of doctoral education. The programme will address the opportunities and challenges that artificial intelligence brings to doctoral education and dissertation research, the learning outcomes of doctoral education, the strengthening of methodological expertise, and support in the final stages of doctoral studies. The ongoing doctoral education pilot and its impact on doctoral education at universities will also be examined.
The program is preliminary and will be finalised in August 2026. The programme is partly in English and partly in Finnish.
