The travelling exhibition of Suomen Luonnonvalokuvaajat SLV ry. (registered association of the Finnish Nature Photographers) will arrive again to the Natural History Museum of Jyväskylä university this October. The exhibition consists of the winning nature photos of the annual competition organized by SLV.
The competition and the exhibition celebrate the diversity of Finnish nature. The annual competition has been organized since 1981, and all nature photographers can partake.
The 2024 competition had over 12 000 photos from 774 different photographers. There were nine competition series, and the winner of the whole competition was chosen from the series winners. The winner was Timo Mylläri with a photograph of spring migration of the Ruff. All 37 awarded photos are showcased in the exhibition.
You can find the exhibition in the Natural History Museum at the Harju ridge. The museum has free entrance.
