Traditional, annual Rock After Research concert is organized again in Ilokivi Venue on Thursday 14th of August as a part of the farewell party of the 34th Jyväskylä Summer School.
Two bands, all connected to the University of Jyväskylä, will definitely kick some stones! The event will be started by WHIPPING POST, who conquer the stage and listeners by playing classic hard-rock, infused with progressive undertones, and channeling the essence of the 70s. Their sound is a captivating fusion of past and present, and shows are always harmonious blends of timeless rock anthems and Whipping Post's original material.
The night is completed with all-time greatest hits performed by NANÖBAND directly from the Nanoscience Center (NSC) of University of Jyväskylä. The band consists of employees of NSC doing research and also music covering many levels and topics. Their show will take you to a memory lane of rock and pop history, with the most remarkable hits through decades.
You are warmly welcome! The concert is OPEN and FREE FOR EVERYONE.
