You have already completed many important steps in the process of becoming a bachelor's degree student at JYU, congratulations!

For the rest of the steps, we warmly recommend you follow the instructions in the Ready, Set, JYU! info package (sent to your email with admission letter) and our New Student Handbook. These are great sources of information and we recommend you keep them close as you prepare for your studies as well as in the beginning of them.

Some important dates and deadlines:

  • Welcoming webinar 5 April 3.00 p.m. (EEST)
  • Register for Finnish language course by 15 May
  • Accept your study place by 10 July at 3:00 p.m. (EEST)
  • Admission group 1: Submit officially certified copies (applies only to conditionally admitted students) by 10 July at 3:00 p.m. (EEST) 
  • Admission group 3: Submit information regarding your graduation (applies only to conditionally admitted students) by 31 July 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EEST)
  • Pay tuition fee (if applicable) by 31 July
  • Study right starts: 1 August -> You can now apply for a student card
  • Register for attendance/ non-attendance by 15 August at 3:00 p.m.
  • Orientation week: 25-29 August
  • Studies begin: 1 September
