Various templates for a Data Management Plan (DMP)

  • This educational resource is largely based on The Finnish Social Science Data Archive's (FSD) Data Management Guidelines, and therefore, the DMP developed for this resource, is also informed by FSD guidelines.
  • Our DMP is also partly inspired by the Academy of Finland's guidelines concerning researchers funded by the Academy.
    • In the research world, a data management plan is often a prerequisite for research funding.
  • If you want to see what a finished DMP looks like, you can view examples in DMP Tuuli's Public Data Management Plans.
    • Remember that copying text from someone else's plan is never a viable solution.
    • These public plans follow a different structure than the DMP developed for this educational resource. The contents of these plans may contain deficiencies or inaccuracies, and they may contradict JYU guidelines.
