Renouncing the right to study
Table of contents
You may voluntarily waive your right to study by submitting a written notice of waiving the right to study to the University. The notification is sent to the Registry Office.
The decision to waive your right to study is binding. You can only regain your study right through the normal student application procedure. Your study right will be terminated at the earliest on the date that the notice is received by the Registry Office.
The University of Jyväskylä does not require you to waive your right to study if, for example, you are accepted to another higher education institution or if your study time ends. If you have not completed any studies during the last year, you can prove to the employment services that your studies have been interrupted. You can prove this with a transcript of records and you do not have to give up your study right.
