Natural History Museum for visiting groups
We organise guided tours and study visits to the Natural History Museum. Guided tours and study visits should always be reserved at least two weeks in advance. The maximum size of a guided group is 25 persons per guide.
Booking a group visit to the Natural History Museum
- Please book a visiting time for your group in advance even if your group is visiting our exhibitions self-guided.
- Day care and school groups can also book a visit to the museum on Tue-Fri mornings from 8 am to 11 am.
- You can make a reservation by phone or email.
- Please remember to inform the museum as soon as possible if you cancel your visit.
Guided tours
- Please book your tour well in advance, at least two weeks before your visit.
- The maximum size of a guided group is 25 persons per guide. Daycare groups up to 15 persons/guide. Large groups can be divided into two guided groups.
Prices
- Guided tours Tue-Fri from 8am to 4pm 80 €/group, in the evenings and weekends 90 €/group (prices including VAT).
- For Jyväskylä City schools and day care centers the guided tours are free of charge during weekdays (Tue-Fri) from 8 am to 4 pm.
- For the groups of the Jyväskylä University members, the guided visits are free of charge on weekdays (Tue-Fri) from 12am to 4pm. Also all integration and disabled groups are free of charge.
- During our normal opening hours you can visit the Natural History Museum on your own free of charge. Please remember to book a visiting time for your group also in this case.
