Digital skills are becoming increasingly important as educational technology evolves alongside general digital development in society. New digital solutions also bring opportunities to involve learners from longer physical distance in teaching, when students can participate in online lessons.

The Open University and the Faculty of Information Technology of the University of Jyväskylä offer Digitally Competent Educators study modules free of charge for all JYU degree students and exchange students.

This short learning programme helps teachers and trainers at different levels of education to develop their work by using digital tools. Digitally Competent Educators is suitable for anyone interested in the field of education.
