The partnership agreement was signed in Jyväskylä on November 13 by CEO Tom Lind from Elomatic andRector Jari Ojala from the University of Jyväskylä.

A central element of the partnership is the safety and security technology education program, launching in 2026, which will bring the latest industry knowledge directly into practice. This is essential for the green transition, as the safe use of hydrogen, for example, requires precise knowledge of processes and safety distances.

In addition to safety and security technology, the partnership’s main areas include natural sciences (chemistry, physics, and environmental technology) as well as digitalization and emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, and the gaming industry.

The partnership will support students in making a seamless transition into working life and help improve the supply of skilled labour in the Jyväskylä region. It also provides staff from both organizations with the opportunities for continuous learning, supports joint communication, and establishes a model for knowledge exchange.

“Our cooperation supports Elomatic’s strategy in many ways,” explains Lind. “We stay at the forefront of development, foster innovation by bringing diverse perspectives together, and open new learning paths for our team. I believe that long-term partnership will be mutually beneficial.”

“The partnership with Elomatic opens up exciting new opportunities to build on our strengths and expertise in research and education in breakthrough technologies,” says Ojala. “It will also strengthen the consortium-driven innovation ecosystem in the Jyväskylä region.”
