The Buddy-Programme is starting
Directed to first-year students, the FORTHEM Buddy Programme is a great opportunity to get to know fellow students from other universities within the FORTHEM Alliance. First-year students will be put in touch with other first-year students from FORTHEM-universities to form a Buddy group and get to know each other through different group activities. The activities will take place once a month and will be organized remotely, starting from the end of November.
The Buddy groups may even have a chance to meet later, for example by taking part in a FORTHEM short-term mobility programme or even by going on exchange to a FORTHEM university. Participating in the Buddy Programme is a great way to start creating international networks, improve language skills and make lifelong friendships.
First-year student: registration to the Buddy Programme is open until 5.11.2021, you can still sign up! Registration form and more information

Internship placements are offered for students, in FORTHEM universities, local schools, in companies and organizations operating in the region of the universities. The application round is always open, and the list of available internships is updated as soon as new placements become available. See more information about the school internship placements (for teacher education students) and for the company internship placements (for all students).
Civic engagement projects
Civic engagement projects are volunteering projects realized by a group formed by students from at least three FORTHEM universities, about issues they are interested in and concerned about.
There are ready proposals for these Civic Engagement Projects from different organisations, but students can also contact the partner organization themselves and propose a project. There is FORTHEM funding available for these projects, and the participating student groups will be supported with a course on project management. More information and application instructions .
