Have you ever felt a deep, powerful connection to music — a moment when a song pulls you in, moves you, or completely absorbs you in it? We would love to hear about those experiences.
We invite you to take part in our Immersion Journaling Study, where we explore listener's deep connection with music.
Why you’re invited?
You may be a great fit for the study. We are looking for adults aged 18 or older who are willing to reflect on their personal music‑listening moments.
What the study is about?
This study investigates musical immersion—the feeling of being involved, absorbed, or emotionally connected to music.
Your unique experiences can help us better understand how and why music affects people so deeply.
What you’ll do?
You will be asked to describe three (3) music‑listening experiences in which you felt a strong sense of connection or involvement with the music.
Each journal entry takes about 15 minutes, and you can complete them at your own pace.
Why participate?
By joining this study, you will:
- Contribute to advancing scientific knowledge about musical experiences.
- Gain insights into your own music‑listening habits and emotional responses.
- Reflect on moments of music that inspire, comfort, energize, or resonate with you.
Voluntary participation
Taking part in this study is completely voluntary.
You may decline to participate, stop at any time, or withdraw your consent without providing a reason. There are no negative consequences for choosing not to continue.
If you decide to stop, any information collected up to that point may still be used as needed to support valid research outcomes.
