JSBE funding calls open: doctoral study grants and doctoral researcher positions

JSBE doctoral students, and people currently applying to our programmes, can apply to both funding schemes.

Please note the following conditions and restrictions:

• Doctoral study grants are primarily targeted for doctoral students who i) have recently been admitted to the JSBE doctoral programs, or ii) seek funding for finalising their doctoral dissertation; or iii) seek short-term funding for intensive study periods (part-time students).
• Doctoral students who have been previously hired by JSBE in doctoral researcher positions (i.e., the task of the job has been to conduct doctoral thesis research) based on a contract of employment at JSBE are not eligible to receive the grant funding.

The deadline for both calls is 4th June, 2025 at 23:59.

Also note that the reference letter(s) of supervisor(s) are obligatory, and they should be sent before the end of the call to mika.skippari@jyu.fi or attached to the application. More details about this can be found in the funding calls below.
