Mandatory multi-factor authentication (MFA) on gitlab.jyu.fi

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) was made mandatory on gitlab.jyu.fi on Tuesday 8 September 2026. If you have not yet enabled MFA, you will be prompted to set it up the next time you sign in. Allow a few minutes for the setup and have your phone or other authentication device at hand.

Please note that automated integrations (such as CI/CD, the Git command line and API access) will no longer work with a password once MFA is in use. Use a personal access token, a project deploy key or an SSH key instead.
