Our students rated the JSBE’s sustainability as good - the results help us to improve education and research

JSBE has received a good score this year in an international indicator of positive impact. The Positive Impact Rating is an assessment by students of how well business schools are implementing sustainability in their activities. The rating is based on ranking universities according to what is best for the world, not what is best in the world.

JSBE participated in the Positive Impact Rating (PIR) for the third time. This year, the rating was 3/5. Dean Hanna-Leena Pesonen appreciates the feedback given by own students:

"After all, they are our most important group of stakeholders! The feedback given by our students about JSBE’s impact and responsibility work is extremely important. This was the third time we took part in the PIR Rating, and each time the results have taught us something new to be used as development ideas how to improve teaching and research”, says Pesonen.

In the PIR evaluation, students assess the effectiveness of their higher education institution from different perspectives, such as education and engagement. Through their rating, students give their recommendations to other students interested in responsible practices.

For JSBE, the evaluation was carried out by Pörssi ry, the students' association. Warm thanks to them for this work.

This year, 71 business schools from 25 countries worldwide participated in the Positive Impact Rating. There were fewer Finnish schools participating this time than in previous years.
