Registration for the Conferment of Degrees Ceremony 2026 has begun
In the Conferment of Degrees Ceremony, the new Masters and Doctors will be given their degree in the ceremonial Act of Conferment, and will receive a Master’s laurel and ring or a Doctor’s hat and sword as the sign of it. Participating in the Conferment of Degrees is a wonderful way to celebrate graduation and the exciting conferment ceremony weekend can be looked back on for years to come.

All masters and doctors who have graduated from University of Jyväskylä and have not yet been conferred are welcome to participate.

Students are needed to assist with various tasks at the Conferment of Degrees. Would you like to help organize a traditional multi-day event and meet new people at the same time? Being a marshal is a fun and memorable experience. Registration for marshals will begin later in the fall, and information will be posted on the university website and sent to students by email.
