What is Safety Week?
JYU is launching its annual Safety Week, during which rescue exercises will be carried out at the beginning of the fall semester. The aim is to ensure that the entire campus community, including new and continuing students and employees, receive consistent training in safety instructions and emergency response procedures.
JYU's Security specialist Mikko Malm and Security manager Teemu Keränen are responsible for organizing Safety Week.
During Safety Week, everyone on campus is guaranteed the opportunity to practice safe evacuation, protection, and emergency response procedures. Joint training improves preparedness, standardizes practices, and ensures that everyone knows how to act correctly in a real situation.
